How to Improve Your Credit Score

If you want to improve your credit score you should pay down your credit cards. It is not enough to pay off your installment loans, even though it can also help your credit score. Secondly use your credit card lightly, do not rack up big balances because they will hurt your credit.  Checking your limits will also help your credit score because if your lender is showing a lower limit than what you actually got then your scores can be artificially depressed. Moreover you should use your older credit card for it to be active.
